Juniper Network Engineer

Salary: $110,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience
• Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship
• Expertise in Juniper enterprise routing, switching, security, and data-center networking
• Experience with Junos OS and EX, QFX, MX, and SRX platforms
• Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, VRFs, QoS, multicast, IPv4/IPv6, resiliency, and segmentation
• Familiarity with EVPN/VXLAN, Virtual Chassis, and enterprise or data-center fabric concepts
• Experience with network assessment, design, migration, implementation, testing, cutover, rollback, and troubleshooting
• Skills in secure configuration, DISA STIG implementation, and configuration management
• Ability to produce engineering diagrams, implementation procedures, validation plans, and as-built documentation
• Required certifications: JNCIP Enterprise and Security+ / IAT II
• Desired skills include Juniper Mist, Apstra, Marvis/AI Operations, data-center fabric automation, DoD/Air Force BAN, NIPR/SIPR, HAIPE, tenant-enclave integration, Zero Trust, NAC/AAA, identity-based segmentation, secure access, Python/Ansible/API automation, and brownfield Cisco-to-Juniper or mixed-vendor migrations
• JNCIE-level expertise or advanced Juniper specialization is desired; JNCIE and Mist Professional certifications are also desired

• Engineer, migrate, and optimize Juniper routing, switching, campus fabrics, and Mist AI-managed enterprise environments

We are seeking a Juniper Network Engineer to join our team supporting US Air Force Air Mobility Command base infrastructure modifications. TekSynap is a growing technology company serving Federal Government customers, focused on applying information technology to meet their needs. The position is onsite at Charleston AFB in Charleston, South Carolina, with a Monday–Friday day shift; evening and weekend work may be requested to meet program and contract needs. Travel is approximately 75%. The work environment has a medium noise level and includes physical activities such as standing, walking, climbing, crouching, and lifting.
