Description On-site Every Other Week onsite / 5 days in Durham, NC Our client seeks a Junior Systems Analyst to join an agile delivery squad supporting donor-focused digital experiences. You will collaborate with Product Owners and Squad Leads to elicit and document business requirements, analyze current-state systems, define technology solutions, and partner with QA on test planning and test case preparation. The role requires close collaboration across business and IT groups and a commitment to quality outcomes. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. - Partner with Product Owners and Squad Leads to gather and document business requirements.
- Assist with current-state systems analysis and contribute to technology solution definition.
- Support agile delivery squads and participate in backlog refinement and sprint activities.
- Collaborate with QA to prepare test plans and test cases.
- Write and execute SQL queries to support analysis and validation.
- Apply knowledge of systems development methodologies and formal documentation processes.
- Communicate progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
- 1-3 years of systems or business analysis experience.
- 1-3 years of experience working within an Agile software development framework.
- Strong SQL skills and proficiency with database query tools.
- Understanding of IT processes and technical concepts relevant to assigned domain.
- Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet objectives.
- Growth mindset, commitment to quality, and ownership of outcomes.
- Readiness to discuss agile principles and INVEST user story criteria.
- Nice to have: experience with RESTful APIs and front-end/back-end applications.
- Nice to have: domain experience within financial services.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred in Computer Science, Business, or a related field with combined business and technical orientation.
