Junior System Administrator

Role Description This full-time remote Junior System Administrator role at NEMA Construction s.r.o. focuses on supporting and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure. The role involves monitoring system performance, assisting with server and workstation configuration, and applying updates and patches under the guidance of senior team members. The Junior System Administrator will respond to user requests, provide technical support, and help resolve system and network issues in a timely manner. The role also includes documenting procedures, maintaining asset and configuration records, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure stable and secure operations across the organization’s systems and networks.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform core System Administration tasks, including basic server and workstation setup, user account management, and routine maintenance.
• Strong Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills to diagnose issues, assist end users, and resolve hardware and software problems.
• Foundational knowledge of Network Administration, including understanding of TCP/IP, routers, switches, VPNs, and network security principles.
• General Information Technology skills, such as familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux), office productivity tools, and endpoint security.
• Good written and verbal communication skills to interact with non-technical users and document processes clearly.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and follow established procedures and security guidelines.
• Relevant education or certification (e.g., degree in IT or Computer Science, CompTIA A+ / Network+ or similar) is beneficial.
• Exposure to construction or project-based environments and experience with ticketing or IT service management tools is a plus.
