Junior Staff AccountantThe Jr. Staff Accountant will play a critical role in strengthening the financial foundation of YCENA, ensuring disciplined execution, transparency, and governance across all accounting and financial operations. This role goes beyond traditional accounting assignments.
The Jr. Staff Accountant will participate in building, enforcing, and sustaining a best-in-class financial control environment. Primarily attending to the accurate and complete processing of supplier and vendor payments, this role will also support month end responsibilities to ensure a complete, transparent and true accounting of YCENA financial performance aligned with our One Yanmar philosophy.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Governance & ControlEnsure all supplier and vendor payments are accurate and timely processed, aligned with company delegation of authority (DOA)Identify, escalate, and resolve legacy gaps in accounting practices and process gapsEnsure full compliance with US GAAP and Yanmar global standardsAct as a guardian of financial integrity and transparencyFinancial Reporting & AccuracyOwn the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial assignments including, but not limited to:Supplier and vendor payment activityMonth end close processing and reporting requirementsCash activity and reconciliationsAudit, Compliance & Risk ManagementActively support all internal and external audits with a proactive, no-surprises approachEnsure readiness and documentation standards meet audit expectations at all timesContinuous Improvement & TransformationIdentify and implement process improvementsSupport ERP optimization (Epicor/YDS alignment where relevant)Drive standardization aligned with One Yanmar operating modelQualificationsRequired· Two-year Accounting or similar degree preferred OR equivalent work experience· Two years progressive accounting experiencePreferredExperience in manufacturing or assembly environmentERP experience (Epicor strongly preferred)Critical Capabilities (This Is Where You Differentiate The Hire)Strong financial judgment — not just reporting, but decision-makingAbility to challenge the business constructivelyHigh level of ownership and accountabilityComfortable operating in ambiguity and changeProven ability to identify issues others missedStrong backbone willing to push back when neededSuccess Profile (What Good Looks Like In 6–12 Months)High accuracy and integrity to process assignments.
