Supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project, the full-time Junior Software Engineer - Security Release Engineering will develop automation, integrations, and secure delivery tooling in a remote environment to enhance developer experience and strengthen software supply chain security. Key responsibilities Build software solutions and automation to streamline security and release engineering processes Develop integrations across developer platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and application security tools Implement and maintain GitOps workflows for application and platform deployments in Kubernetes environments Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience Hands-on software development or automation experience using JavaScript and Python Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform Understanding of Secure Software Development Life Cycle (Secure SDLC) methodologies and DevSecOps principles Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for investigating software build, deployment, and security pipeline issues
