Our client is looking for a Junior Software Engineer for a contract to hire role that is hybrid 3 days onsite in Chicago per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop integrations between automation platforms, CI/CD pipelines, source control, monitoring tools, secrets management, and event-driven architectures.
- Build and maintain automated deployment and environment promotion processes across development, testing, and production environments.
- Establish CI/CD pipelines supporting cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and support enterprise automation, scheduling, and production operations platforms.
Required Qualifications:
- Background in DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure).
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, JavaScript, and database technologies.
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures, API integrations, Kafka, and enterprise middleware.
- Experience with Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Maven/Gradle, and enterprise monitoring tools.
- Pay around 40-60/hr. Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance is offered to qualified candidates
