Junior Network AdministratorNew Hope Community is seeking a Junior Network Administrator to join our IT team. This role is responsible for supporting, monitoring, and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a commitment to excellence in customer support, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Reports To: Manager of Information Technology ServicesThis job is NOT remote; this is an in-person job opportunityEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesNetwork Maintenance: Configure, install, and maintain network hardware (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) and apply software updates and patchesMonitoring & Support: Monitor network performance, including availability, throughput, and latency; respond to and resolve issues identified through the ticketing systemTroubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues; escalate complex problems as neededSecurity Administration: Assist in maintaining network security, including user account setup, permissions management, and support for firewalls and VPNsDocumentation: Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including network configurations, asset inventories, and diagramsEnd-User Support: Provide technical assistance to staff for workstations and network access; ensure timely response and follow-up on Help Desk tickets and support requestsKey Skills and CompetenciesProblem-Solving: Strong ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues efficientlyCommunication: Clear and professional communication skills with both technical and non-technical usersAttention to Detail: Ability to maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to security and compliance standardsField Operations: Ability to handle on-site equipment, including occasional lifting of hardware, and participate in on-call support as neededInterpersonal Skills: Energetic, dependable, patient, and empathetic, with a genuine interest in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and the staff who serve themQualificationsEducation: Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience: 0–3 years of experience in a Help Desk, IT support, or junior system/network administration role preferredTechnical Skills: Foundational knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routers, switches, and access pointsSalary range for this position is $62,500.00 - $70,000.00.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
