Junior System AdministratorMicro-Tronics is seeking a Junior System Administrator to support and maintain our IT infrastructure, including hardware, networks, and cloud-based systems. This role will provide hands-on technical support, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure reliable day-to-day IT operations across the organization.This is a great opportunity for someone early in their IT career looking to grow their experience in systems administration, networking, and cloud technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide end-user support through a ticketing system, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issuesDiagnose root causes, implement solutions, and document resolutions clearlyEscalate complex issues to senior IT staff or external vendors as neededMaintain and support desktops, laptops, printers, phones, and other IT equipmentAssist with administration of Microsoft 365, Azure, and other SaaS/cloud platformsSupport Windows Server environments, user accounts, and system accessInstall, configure, and upgrade hardware and softwareMonitor systems to ensure updates, patches, and security measures are in placePerform inventory tracking of IT assets and equipmentAssist with disaster recovery processes including backups for virtual machines, files, email, and cloud systemsProvide basic training and guidance to end users when neededQualifications2–3 years of IT support or system administration experienceExperience with Windows environments and basic network administrationFamiliarity with Wi-Fi/network troubleshootingExposure to Microsoft 365 and/or AzureVMware experience is a plusEducation & Certifications (Preferred)Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)At least one relevant certification, such as:CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+Microsoft certificationsCisco CCNA/CCNPSkills & CompetenciesStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to diagnose hardware and software issuesClear communication with both technical and non-technical usersStrong attention to detail and organizationAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentPerformance Metrics (KPIs)Helpdesk ticket response and resolution timeQuality and timeliness of issue resolutionProject completion and system reliabilityCommunication and user satisfactionPhysical RequirementsAbility to move, set up, and install IT equipment as neededAbility to sit, stand, and move throughout the workdayManual dexterity to operate computer equipment and toolsAbility to lift and transport equipment when necessaryBENEFITS:At Micro-Tronics, we recognize how important your career and benefits are to you and your family.
