To support researchers and engineers on high-performance computing platforms, the full-time Junior HPC Applications Engineer will provide first-line support for build failures, batch script issues, and environment problems while working remotely. Key responsibilities Own incoming support tickets, reproduce issues, resolve problems, and escalate as necessary with diagnosis Write, debug, and tune Slurm submission scripts for users, including GPU requests and resource sizing Build and install user-requested software under senior review, and maintain module and container environments Required qualifications 2 or more years of experience supporting users on Linux systems or running scientific/machine learning workloads on a cluster Proficiency with the Linux command line and building software from source Experience writing and debugging batch scripts under Slurm, PBS, or LSF Proficiency in Python, along with familiarity with a machine learning framework or domain scientific code Ability to communicate technical information clearly in plain language
