Junior Employment & Labor Associate AttorneyDirect Counsel is seeking a Junior Employment & Labor Associate Attorney to join a highly respected Am Law firm's New York office.Position Overview: A leading national firm is seeking a junior Associate Attorney with approximately 1–2 years of experience to join its Employment & Labor practice group. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney interested in both employment counseling and litigation work within a sophisticated, client-facing practice.The ideal candidate will have exposure to employment law matters, including counseling, litigation, and employment support in corporate transactions. This role also involves significant day-to-day client interaction and cross-office collaboration, including work involving New York and Florida employment issues.Key Responsibilities:Provide day-to-day employment law counseling to corporate clientsSupport employment-related litigation matters, including drafting and researchAssist with employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactionsAdvise clients on compliance with federal and state employment lawsDraft policies, agreements, and related employment documentationCollaborate with corporate teams on deal-related employment issuesWork closely with partners and clients on ongoing employment mattersQualifications:Approximately 1–2 years of employment law experienceExperience in both employment counseling and litigation preferredStrong writing, communication, and analytical skills requiredPrior law firm experience strongly preferredExcellent academic credentials from a nationally recognized law schoolAdmission to the Florida Bar or eligibility and willingness to pursue admission requiredStrong initiative, professionalism, and ability to manage client-facing responsibilitiesCompensation: The anticipated base salary for this New York-based Associate Attorney position is $225,000–$235,000 annually, depending on experience and other job-related factors consistent with applicable law.Additional Information: The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid leave, parental support benefits, and wellness programs.
