Junior Electrical EngineerCACI International Inc. has an immediate opening for a Junior Electrical Engineer located in Dulles, VA. This position will support the design, development, and maintenance of complex electronic systems, including analog and digital circuit systems.

The Junior Engineer will work under the guidance of senior engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Mechanical, PCB Design, Software, and Production Engineering to support the creation, documentation, building, testing, and maintenance of electronic systems. We operate in a fast-paced, highly technical R&D environment where successful engineers are eager to learn, detail-oriented, work effectively in team situations, have good communication skills, and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Responsibilities:Execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to modify and improve existing system designsDesign cabling diagrams and harness documentation for existing systems and new designsModify and update system drawings, schematics, and technical documentationTroubleshoot and debug both digital and analog electronic systemsAssist in building prototypes, products, and systems for testingSupport laboratory testing and simulations under senior engineer guidanceParticipate in system integration and testing activitiesCreate and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, test procedures, and technical reportsSupport component selection and verification activitiesAssist with field integration, deployment support, and ongoing technical troubleshootingWork with cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycleParticipate in design reviews and technical discussionsFollow established design standards and contribute to continuous improvement effortsQualifications:Required:Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearanceBS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (ABET/EAC Accredited)0-3 years of relevant experience in electrical/computer engineering (internships and academic projects count)Understanding of analog and digital circuit fundamentalsBasic knowledge of electronic components and system architectureAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and system drawingsProficiency with standard engineering tools and test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, etc.)Strong attention to detail and commitment to qualityGood interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamEagerness to learn and develop technical skillsBasic organizational and time management skillsDesired:Hands-on prototyping, assembly, or laboratory experienceExperience with RF systems or RF fundamentalsExposure to PCB design and layout toolsExperience with schematic capture tools (Altium Designer, OrCAD, Eagle, etc.)Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (Python, MATLAB, etc.)Understanding of signal processing conceptsExperience with CAD tools for technical drawingsMilitary, aerospace, or defense industry exposureCo-op or internship experience in electronics design or systems engineeringWhat You Can Expect:A culture of integrity.At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
