Junior Design Execution Project Manager

Junior Data Center Design Execution Project ManagerLocation: Work from home in Columbus OH. This role is required to go onsite at least once per week. Travel Requirements: 10–30% travel required.The Design Project Manager is responsible for managing the design process from campus planning and basis of design through issuance of construction drawings.

This includes building matrixed design teams from internal stakeholders and external design services partners, facilitating the creation of a shared execution plan, and overseeing construction administration services provided by the external design team in support of construction activities. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of building construction and/or design, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Responsibilities:Facilitate planning and kickoff workshops with internal and external stakeholdersFacilitate design reviews with external partnersFacilitate large-scale workshops as requiredAuthor scopes of work for contracts and obtain stakeholder buy-inIssue and administer contractsDefine and track deliverables across multiple partiesTrack cost, schedule, progress, and scopeProvide reporting on cost, schedule, scope, and progressBuild optimal design teams through internal collaboration and external partner engagementManage changes to project scope and design contractsFacilitate technical decision-making aligned with project needsCoordinate design activities with procurement and constructionEnsure clear, transparent communication across all stakeholdersEnsure issuance of engineering information to the correct party, at the correct time, and in the correct formatRequirements:Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related fieldProfessional licensure (PE, NCARB, RA) strongly preferred or 4+ years of relevant experiencePrior experience with data center design and/or construction preferred4 + years of experience in design and/or construction project managementStrong understanding of construction principles and practicesExperience managing coordination between multiple teamsExperience preparing project plans, specifications, and scopes of workFamiliarity with applicable government regulationsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamEverforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
