We are seeking dynamic professionals who embody our core values of Integrity, Commitment, and Excellence to join our growing Crew in support of our customers across the federal, state, and commercial markets.We are seeking a Junior Cyber Security Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.What You'll Be DoingExhibit excellent problem-solving skills, be a team player, possess excellent communications and interpersonal skills and be able to adapt to an ever-changing environment.Perform regular monitoring of systems/applications for cyber security compliance to include STIG/patchingReview and analyze appropriate system logs for performance and behavior anomalies, determine negative trends, and develop recommended corrective actionsUnderstand security vulnerabilities in various SW and HW platforms and be able to recommend mitigationsPerform vulnerability scans and assist in security auditsAssist with security tools and provide technical help to Cyber TeamsMaintain security documentation and support cyber security policy implementation and complianceBasic understanding of networking, operating systems (Linux/Windows), and various security toolsMust possess strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skillsApply basic diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct common failures to supervisorsEscalate complex problems to senior level personnelPerform other Cyber duties as assignedWhat You BringBasic Requirements:Must have 2, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience May be reduced with completion of advanced educationMust have 6, or more, months of direct IT experienceMust have, or obtain within 3 months, a current DoD M IAT Level II certificationMust have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Security ClearanceDesired Requirements:Have strong skills using Microsoft Management technologies, to include Active Directory services (AD) and Windows Server Update Skills (WSUS)Have experience with SCCM/SMS or related patching products in an enterprise environmentHave experience assessing, summarizing, and providing technical guidance for security directives and patches in support of Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) ProgramWhy LaunchTech?LaunchTech is built on a single standard: Excellence, Period.
