Junior Associate — Chelsea, NYC

Genius Gems ( is a STEM-based experience for kids and adults. We offer a fast-paced, exciting environment where employees can, if they choose, pursue additional opportunities that interest them — engineering and design, robotics and coding, social media, marketing, or community events. We're seeking enthusiastic in-person leaders and teachers to join our growing team of 20+ innovative professionals.

What you'll do

• Guide families through general admission (magnetic-tile builds, robots, slime, and more)
• Assist with weekend birthday celebrations
• Gather and test new project ideas and materials
• Learn our 3D printers
• Keep the space tidy and materials prepared
• Other tasks as needed

Block-coding experience useful but not required. The most important quality is a positive attitude and openness to learning new material with coaching and support. Experience working with children is a plus.

Logistics

Part-time, on-site at 555 6th Ave., New York, NY 10011. One block from the PATH; short walk to 14th St (F, M, 1, 2, 3), Union Square (L, N, Q, R, W, 4, 5, 6), and the A/C/E at 8th Ave. Reports to the COO. Academic credit for interns on request with university permission. Compensation competitive and commensurate with experience.
