Role: Jr. Java backend developer

W2 CONTRACT
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 11/17+.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and clean-code practices.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, or similar testing frameworks.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Practical experience using AI coding assistants as part of software development.
- Ability to critically review AI-generated code rather than accepting generated output without validation.
- Strong debugging and production troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, exception handling, and API security.
Preferred Skills
- GitHub Copilot or similar AI development tools.
- Prompting techniques for software engineering tasks.
- AI-assisted test generation and code review.
- Kafka or other event-driven/messaging platforms.
- Docker and Kubernetes.
- AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
- Observability and application monitoring.
- Experience with high-volume, transaction-oriented systems.
- Financial services, fintech, securities processing, or wealth-management experience.
