Development TechnicianThis DEVELOPMENT TECHNICIAN position will be located either in Howmet Research Center or in the Research Center satellite development area located within the Whitehall Core Facility, working on the New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. Primary responsibilities will include:Operating ceramic core presses and injection molding machinesProcessing development ceramic cores as required to meet customer requirements, which includes running equipment and hand finishingTroubleshooting and problem solving forming issues at the pressAiding in implementing continuous improvementAssisting in training and development of less experienced or less knowledgeable technicians and operatorsPerforming engineering trials under the guidance of an individual engineer or engineering teamAssuring product compliance to customer requirementsProcessing of additive manufactured components used in the manufacture of ceramic coresWorking closely with engineering and other technicians, with a common goal of developing robust processes and preparing projects for future production implementation.Helping to standardize and document procedures and best practicePerforming and documenting a variety of preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activities, as required.Communicating with numerous groups and juggling priorities in fast paced environment.Performing other work-related duties as necessaryProvide support to production operations as directedComplying with all EHS rules required for the work environment.QualificationsBasic Qualifications:High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.Minimum of 1 year experience in engineering or manufacturing environmentEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
