CI/CD & Platform Automation Engineer (DevOps) will design and develop high-performance, secure, and automated pipelines for the deployment of Esri technology in the cloud and on-premises. You will partner closely with software developers and cloud engineers to ensure our integration.ResponsibilitiesExposure to designing, implementing, and maintaining high-speed CI/CD pipelines usingGitHub Actions/Azure DevOps for cloud-native workflows and Jenkins for complex,cross-platform on-premises build automationArchitect and optimize Docker environments to ensure consistent, isolated, andreproducible build/test runners across the entire development lifecycleWork with the team to help lead the design of the next-generation Python packagecreation process; manage complex Conda recipes and environments to ensure seamlessdistribution of the ArcGIS API and its dependenciesBuild and manage the underlying build infrastructure (runners, nodes, and registries)using automated provisioning to ensure high availability and scalability of the releasesystemImplement automated security gatekeeping, including the generation of SBOMs(Software Bill of Materials), vulnerability scanning, and license compliance for allPython and Rust artifactsWork with the team to help design and implement monitoring frameworks to trackbuild performance; assist in automated load and performance testing of the Pythonstack to identify regressions before releaseIdentify and eliminate manual bottlenecks by transitioning legacy workflows intomodern, "everything-as-code" processesOversee the lifecycle of third-party dependencies, ensuring that the supply chain issecure, from source code to the final distributed packageOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, DevOps, or related technicalfield (or equivalent practical experience)1+ years of relevant experience (including internships, open-source work, or academic projects) in DevOps, CI/CD, or platform automation Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure Pipelines, or similar)Experience working with YAML-based pipeline configurations and infrastructure definitionsExposure to automation and scripting (Python and/or JavaScript preferred)Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as:AnsibleAWS CDK, Terraform, or similar IaC frameworksActive or Current (within two years of active) Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibilityPreferred Qualifications:Master's in computer science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or STEM-related fieldExperience automating backend systems and operational workflowsFamiliarity with release engineering and deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, etc.)Experience integrating security scanning into pipelines (SAST/DAST, container scanning)Exposure to Kubernetes-based delivery environmentsExposure to DevSecOps practices and secure development pipelinesCompTIA Security + certificationExperience working in Agile or Scrum development environmentsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team settingMust be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environmentDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individualsFriendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applicationsProficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting, as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, and previous customer service experience strongly desired.Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve itFamiliarity with Linux environments and containerized workflowsAbility to write and optimize Docker files and support container-based deploymentsUnderstanding of artifact management, dependency management, and secure build practicesFamiliarity with SBOM tools and artifact signing concepts Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure), especially:Compute servicesStorage services (e.g., S3, Blob Storage)How you'll growAt Chenega MIOS, our professional development plan focuses on helping our team members at every level of their careers to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
