The Hampton Roads Connector Partners JV (HRCP) consisting of VINCI Construction, Dragados, and Flatiron has been selected to construct the $3.3BN Design Build project –the largest civil construction contract ever awarded by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). The project scope across a 9-mile section of the I-64 will include: a new 3.5-mile bridge-tunnel crossing that will accommodate a total of 8 lanes of capacity across the water, replacement of the existing marine approach bridges and the addition of a third lane on I-64 in each direction.

The twin 45 diameter 1.5-mile tunnels will be bored by TBM, creating the second largest TBM tunnel opening for a TBM in North America.ResponsibilitiesIncluding but not limited to:Performs data entry for accounts payable vouchers, invoices, bills and expenses to ensure accurate and timely paymentReconcile and prepare subcontractor payment applicationsReconcile vendor account statementsEstablish records of accounts and input entries into to proper accountsEnter manual general ledger entries as requiredMaintain account sub-ledgersPrepare accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports, to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined within the departmentDocument and ensure proper keeping of financial records, making use of current technologiesPrepare documentation for contracts, transactions, or regulatory complianceWorks closely with the area Senior Accountant to be trained as a backup in their absencePerform additional assignments per management's directionQualificationsRequiredA Bachelor's degree in accounting, or a Bachelor's degree in business with emphasis in accounting from an accredited institution.Ability to manage a number of different tasks and projects in an organized and efficient manner.Must have excellent work habits to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressuresStrong communication and problem solving skillsGood knowledge of accounting rules, regulations and proceduresMust be able to work on an active construction job site in an office settingMust have reliable transportationFluent in English with professional proficiencyPreferredConstruction accounting experiencePrevious accounts payable experienceBenefitsComprehensive compensation packageHealth Insurance/Dental Insurance/Vision InsuranceEmployer Paid Life Insurance and AD&DWellness benefits & Employee Assistance ProgramPaid HolidaysPaid Time OffDragados USA Inc is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
