Job Description PLUMBER
Primary Purpose: Under general supervision: Maintain, repair, and install plumbing systems. Work with other crafts and school staff in order to minimize interruptions in service, and to identify, repair, and/or replacement needs in the plumbing system. Repairs and installations may include but not limited to the following systems; domestic hot and cold water, HVAC, sanitary sewer, storm drains, lawn irrigation systems, appliances, compressed air lines, refrigeration, pumps and gas systems.
Reports to: Electrical, Plumbing and Vehicle Supervisor.
School/Department: Maintenance Department.
Pay Grade: Manual Trades/Hourly Pay Grade 7 Wage/hour status: Non-Exempt/Hourly.

Qualifications: Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Texas Journeyman's plumber's license required.
- Valid Texas driver's license with a good driving record.
- May be required to successfully complete job ability testing.
- Back-flow Prevention certification preferred.
- Knowledge using computers or I-Pad.
- Familiar with State and Local Plumbing codes and ADA Regulations.
- Ability to read blue prints and estimate jobs.
- Ability to properly braze and solder, use power hand tools, back hoe, trench digging machines, and pipe threading machines.
- Ability to read and write legibly.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, and how they work.
- Experience: Prefer 3-5 years of experience in commercial plumbing, including plumbing maintenance repairs, and new construction Prefer 2-3 years of plumbing service truck experience.
