Location: Portland, OR | Job Type: Full-time
Why This Role?
Like working with your hands and staying busy? We're looking for a dependable Jogger to keep our press floor moving. You'll be at the heart of a fast-paced printing operation—stacking, bundling, and palletizing finished product while learning the ins and outs of commercial web offset printing. No experience? No problem. We'll train you, and this role is a real foot in the door to grow into press operations.
What You'll Do
* Stack finished books from the presses onto pallets or into shipping boxes
* Keep an eye on print quality and flag any issues to the Head Pressperson right away
* Move loaded pallets to the storage area
* Learn the fundamentals: stacker set-up and adjustment, plus safe handling and storage of chemicals
* Learn the emergency press "stop" procedure
* Keep the press and surrounding area clean and organized
* Train up on the Roll Tender role
* Follow all safety guidelines in the Employee Handbook
* Take on additional duties as assigned
