Field Service TechnicianLOCATION: Gonzales, Louisiana & Surrounding AreasTYPE: Full-Time (Monday-Friday, Dayshift)COMPENSATION: Competitive hourly rate - based on experience Quarterly profit-sharing opportunity Annual performance reviews/increase opportunities Premium health insurance benefits Vacation and Paid Personal Days 401(k) Employer matching PPE & Tool reimbursement planSUMMARY:The Field Service Technician for our Louisiana territory will be an experienced heavy equipment/diesel technician who is passionate about repairing and maintaining equipment and helping to provide our customers with technical support and expertise.Our Technicians provide service on a variety of equipment in the field including hydrovacs, street sweepers, and refuse products. The Field Service Technician will be a self-starter who enjoys the variety of being on the road, focuses on working safely and efficiently, and goes above and beyond to ensure our customers are satisfied.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Inspect and troubleshoot equipment failures and perform hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical repairs on various types of equipmentPerform diagnostics to determine repairs requiredConduct routine preventative maintenanceCommunicate effectively with the Parts & Service teams on job progress and status changesUpdate work order systemMaintain organized and safe work area, shop tools, and service vansABOUT YOU:Strong mechanical aptitudeDemonstrated ability to work in a safe mannerCollaborative team player and willing to assist others when requiredAttention to detail and commitment to customer satisfactionIndependent problem solver and decision makerAbility to plan and execute aspects of work independentlyPOSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:Education from an accredited technical school in diesel engine/hydraulics/heavy equipment repair preferred but not requiredMust be able to pass a pre-employment background check3+ years' experience working in a mechanic/technician roleExperienced with hydraulic and/or electrical workSAFETY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Work in compliance with the appropriate safety legislation/regulations/safety policiesReport any known workplace hazard or safety violationsCooperate with their workplace's Safety Committee or health and safety representativeUse any safety equipment, protective devices, or clothing requiredNot remove or make ineffective any protective device required by the Company or by the regulationsWHO WE ARE:As the leading distributor of public works equipment, Joe Johnson Equipment (JJE) provides mobile infrastructure-maintenance equipment to municipalities and contractors across Canada and the US.
