Bilingual Medical Assistant - Spanish / English

Health Connections Direct Primary Care

Bilingual Medical Assistant – English/Spanish

$20–$24/hour | Florence , KY | In-Person

Looking for something different from the typical Medical Assistant job?

If you are fluent in both English and Spanish, enjoy getting to know patients, and want a position where you can use both your clinical skills and your personality, we'd love to meet you.

Health Connections DPC is a small, independent , physician-owned Direct Primary Care practice in Florence, Kentucky. Founded in 2017, we provide personalized primary care through a membership model and also provide USCIS immigration medical examinations.

We are independent—not part of a hospital system—and care for patients from a wide variety of cultural, linguistic, educational, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

This is not a high-volume, assembly-line medical office .

Our Bilingual Medical Assistant works closely with the physician and plays an important role in the entire patient experience.

Some days you may draw blood, give an injection, room a patient, and coordinate a referral. Other times you may answer the phone in Spanish, prepare paperwork for an immigration medical exam, explain Direct Primary Care to a prospective patient, help with social media, or improve an office workflow.

Because we are a small practice, everyone pitches in . We're looking for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, notices what needs to be done, and genuinely enjoys helping people.

You May Be a Great Fit If You:

  • Are genuinely comfortable communicating with people in both English and Spanish.
  • Are warm, professional, dependable, and empathetic.
  • Enjoy working with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
  • Like getting to know patients rather than rushing them through.
  • Want to do both front-office and back-office work.
  • Pay close attention to details and follow tasks through to completion.
  • Take initiative rather than always waiting to be told what to do next.
  • Enjoy problem-solving.

  • Are comfortable with computers and willing to learn new technology.
  • Can work independently while also knowing when to ask for help.

What You'll Do:

Patient Care & Clinical Support

  • Track assigned patient-care tasks through completion so important follow-up does not fall through the cracks.
  • Refer questions requiring medical decision-making to the physician rather than independently providing medical advice.

Front Office & Administrative Support

  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, fax, scan, file, and prepare forms, letters, and other documents.
