Compensation range: $26.00 - $34.00If you're excited about working in an innovative, fast-paced, high-tech environment, where your contributions make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you!Job PurposeThe Test Technician at Bren-Tronics, part of EnerSys and manufacturer of advanced power solutions, to test and troubleshoot defective electronic sub-assemblies, batteries, chargers, and accessories detected during manufacturing process.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAbility to interpret blueprints and schematic, diagrams, enabling comprehensive analysis and troubleshooting to the component levelDocument test results and inspection data, comparing findings with specifications to ensure product conformity to company standardsRepair or rework products/components using electrical-mechanical assembly and soldering methodsCalculate, collect test data and results to verify results are adherent to functional specificationParticipate in prototype assembly and the New Product Team to grasp product requirements and assist troubleshooting and facilitate in product transition to production departmentIdentify and explain issues related to product quality, efficiency, and effectiveness to other team members to finalize resolutions and participate in implementationsAssist to accomplish system level repair/rework tasks or assembly, including reliable SMT component or microchip replacement as neededPerform tests on assembled batteries, chargers, power supplies, and related wiring boards using tools like testing meters, oscilloscopes, and calipersPerform additional task as requiredQualificationsTechnical/trade education or equivalent vocational training in manufacture industryMinimum of 3+ of technical experience or related experience in Test Technician or similar roleUnderstanding of circuit boards, microprocessors, chips, and computer hardware and softwareSolderer 454 certificate or surface mount soldering skills are a plusUnderstanding of how to use testing equipment to troubleshoot and interpret test manuals, specifications, and related documentProblem solving skills, self-motivated with results driven approachSoldering and electrical assembly, reflecting a level of craftsmanship and technical skillMath skills and calculations and interpret results to aid testing processGeneral Job RequirementsAbility to operate production and office equipmentCritical, organizational, interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communicationThe candidate must be able to work in a Production floor and collaborate with team membersVisual acuity to observe and analyze product parts, defects, and test resultsMust be able to stand for long periods of timeMust be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouchEmployees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all timesMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis.
