This role ensures build readiness, enforces work standards, maintains operator accountability, and proactively identifies constraints that may impact schedule, quantity, or revenue attainment. The supervisor ensures all operations follow approved instructions and never allows deviation.
Performance directly impacts cost, schedule, and product flow.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesRequired Education and Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED.Execute daily production plan and maintain KPI targetsIdentify staffing gaps and adjust workflow or assignments in real time to prevent production missesVerify all required materials including documentation are staged and available one week priorLead production meeting to identify obstacles and confirm build readinessParticipate in management meeting to review prior/current day performance and required mitigation actionsMaintain daily communication with production leads through floor presence and scheduled touchpointsWalk the floor regularly; observe operator performance in real time and through post-shift reportsProvide immediate problem-solving support and maintain presence during shift changesEnforce production work practices with zero repeat operator issues (training, cleanliness, culture, PPE)Drive training of operators and track training requirements, including completion and follow-up datesMonitor equipment functionality and initiate maintenance requestsMaintain organized tooling, materials, and 5S discipline with a score of 3 or higherConduct daily shift-handoff communication with other production supervisor(s)Coordinate cross-functionally with engineering, maintenance, quality, production leads, and master schedulerUnderstand material flow, pellet verification, and upstream constraints to support schedule protectionReview safety procedures regularly and stop any unsafe or non-compliant operationAssess staffing level and recommend adjustmentsPreferred Qualifications:Basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft OfficeExperience in a manufacturing settingCore Competencies:Production planning and executionLeadershipWorkforce planningBuild readinessProblem solvingSafety awareness and enforcementWork instruction complianceEquipment monitoringGeneral Job Requirements:This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment.
