Material CoordinatorAMETEK Programmable Power Business Unit is headquartered in San Diego, CA and provides advanced Power and Instrumentation solutions for Precision Stimulus, Process Power and Measurement and Switching applications. The Material Coordinator supports the assigned manufacturing department with materials. Verify inventory, cycle counting, reordering, inputting data, kit pulling and carrying out safety checks.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain work cell stock locations.Trigger order signal for components on electronic replenishment.Conducts cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and reports discrepancies.Process backorder items and expedites materials.Loads, moves and unloads material to various inventory locations.Completes and processes all associated documentation.Collaborate with various departments to manage efficient flow of all materials.Coordinate with departments to ensure efficient movement of all materials and evaluate all materials sent to production department.Coordinate with production lead and department managers to ensure accountability for all materials.Checking incoming materials for any defects or flaws that may need to be addressed prior to use in manufacturing.Inform production lead and manager when inventory is low or when materials are no longer usable due to defects or damage.Monitoring material inventories to ensure that the correct number of materials are on hand at all times.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent, associates degree preferred.

3 years of related work experience, preferably in an electronics manufacturing environment. Physical demands include standing for long periods of time, walking, using hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 30 pounds.
