Communications DirectorAnchorage, AK, 12603$7,500-$9,500 (Monthly)JKT For apply, please email your resume to Ryan Paolilli at with "Communications Director – (Full Name)" in the Subject Line.Job DescriptionResponsibilities Include:Develop and maintain strong working relationships with media and members of the press across the stateServe as the point of contact for all incoming press requests to the CampaignDraft communications products, including: press releases, op-eds, talking points, public statements, media advisories, speeches, and internal communications and Campaign newslettersCoordinate with the Campaign Manager to create and implement social media strategy, including managing staff and volunteer teams to help with creation of content across social platforms, providing guidance on style, tone, and content direction, and overseeing the execution of all social strategyProvide Media training to the candidate, surrogates, and staff for interviews and press appearances;Assist on other communications projects as neededFlexibility to work long and irregular hours, including weekends and evenings, with some travel as neededApplicants must have:Several years of experience in communications and/or political campaignsExperience working with members of the press in previous rolesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsApplicants will be considered more competitive if they have:On-the-record experienceExperience creating and executing communications strategies via digital and social media. Graphic design abilities are a plus;
