Seeking a full-time remote Java Engineer II/III, the candidate will play a vital role in modernizing the Group Insurance platform by developing scalable API and event-driven solutions using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Kafka while mentoring junior developers and influencing technical decisions. Key responsibilities: Develop and support API and event-driven integrations for the Group Insurance platform Design, develop, and deploy Spring Boot microservices in AWS environments Mentor developers and promote engineering best practices through code reviews and technical guidance Required qualifications: 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing enterprise applications Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices architectures Experience deploying applications in AWS cloud environments Proficiency in building event-driven solutions using Kafka Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices
