Backend Java DeveloperDesign, develop, and maintain backend Java applications with Vertex tax software integration.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Product, and QA to ensure accurate tax calculations and compliance.Build and manage APIs for transaction processing and tax calculation.Integrate Vertex O Series or Cloud with ERP or custom billing systems.Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to tax processing and data accuracy.Ensure security, performance, and scalability of the tax-related components.Create technical documentation for tax integrations and services.Perform unit and integration testing for all developed features.6+ years of hands-on experience in Java (Spring Boot preferred).Strong experience with Vertex O Series, Vertex Cloud, or similar tax software.Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.Familiarity with ERP systems or eCommerce platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Magento) a plus.Understanding of financial systems, tax rules, and transaction compliance.Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Experience in tax compliance for US and/or global markets.Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
