Java Developer with AWS ECS

Our Client is a 3rd Generation Management Consulting Firm and a major AWS Partner. They are looking to hire Two Java Developers to their team.

Summary
Client is seeking 2 experienced Java Backend Developers to support an AWS Application Modernization initiative. The role involves modernizing legacy C++ business logic into production-grade Java services, validating AI-generated code, and deploying Java libraries into an AWS ECS environment.
One consultant will also help design a DynamoDB caching strategy to reduce DB2 dependency.
Required Skills

• 5+ years of Java backend development
• Strong Java and JAR/library packaging experience
• bility to read and understand C++ code (no C++ development required)
• Familiarity with SQL and reading existing queries/stored procedures
• Experience deploying applications on AWS ECS
• Experience reviewing and validating AI-generated code
• Excellent debugging and analytical skills

• DynamoDB experience
• pplication Modernization projects
• DB2 familiarity

• nalyze existing C++ business logic and assist in Java conversion
• Review, validate, and refine AI-generated Java code for functional accuracy
• Package converted functionality as reusable Java JAR libraries
• Integrate with existing DB2 stored procedures (no new SQL development)
• Deploy and support services running on AWS ECS
• Participate in project discovery and backlog planning
• Pair program with customer engineers throughout the engagement
• Document solutions and transition knowledge to the client team
