Supporting the sustainment and modernization of mission-critical applications, the full-time Java Developer will design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java applications while working remotely within the U.S. Key responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications utilizing legacy and modern technologies Analyze and resolve complex software defects and production issues, contributing to application enhancements Collaborate with architects and senior developers on modernization initiatives, including REST and SOAP-based services Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5-7 years of professional software development experience, with 5+ years in Java development for enterprise solutions 3+ years of experience with Spring Framework and/or Spring Boot 5+ years of experience developing REST APIs and web services Experience with Oracle or other relational databases and Git-based source control
