Chelsea, MA - Remote to start BD- C-1003L- + month contract - 4 Openings The Executive Office for Administration & Finance IT (A&F IT) is a unit under the Executive Office for Administration & Finance (A&F) supporting IT systems and applications for 15 various A&F agencies. One of the key agencies within A&F is the Department of Revenue (DOR). DOR manages Commonwealth taxes and child support, and their mission is to gain full compliance with the tax, child support and municipal finance laws of the Commonwealth. The mission of DOR's Child Support Enforcement Division (CSE) is to make a difference in the lives of children by enforcing the financial responsibilities of parenthood. CSE's core functions are to establish paternity and establish, enforce and modify child support and health insurance orders. The COMETS HD system is the agency's new child support enforcement IT system implemented in 2018. A&F IT has an immediate need for Applications Developer contract positions to assist in development, maintenance, and enhancements of the COMETS HD System.

Responsibilities:

• Work with other members of the COMETS HD team to develop, maintain and enhance an enterprise system solution that will process millions of records per day and provide efficient and organized access for field staff through on-line application and reporting.
• Enhance the current system using the latest technologies that fit the business need. Work closely with business partners and senior and junior developers to design and develop a solution that addresses their needs.

Job Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-3 years of the following experience:

• Java/J2EE (required)
• Familiarity with Spring MVC/Hibernate – framework
• Familiarity with HTML, Java script, JQuery
• Exposure or worked with JUnit, debugging
• Webservices knowledge

• Excellent communication and delegation skills
• Ability to read and implement technical specification design

Optional:

• Experience with Angular, React, or Node JS a plus
