CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Java developer/programmer to join a team working on enhancing data utilization for a large, state-run project. The developer will aggregate data from various sources and develop plans for data collection, processing, storage, and reporting. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of large-scale enterprise systems and expert knowledge of Java coding and web applications, including Java Server Faces Framework.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business analysts and developers to produce software designs.
- Provide work estimates, status updates, and track progress against project plans.
- Formulate program specifications and develop prototypes.
- Transform designs into high-functioning code.
- Integrate software solutions into higher-level systems.
- Create and enhance applications using web-based tools.
- Test and debug code to ensure quality.
- Develop testing and acceptance procedures with QA teams.
- Perform system upgrades for security and efficiency.
- Provide training, knowledge transfer, and documentation for users.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience developing Java web applications using Java Server Faces Framework.
- At least 5 years of experience in Java web UI design, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- At least 3 years of experience integrating Java web applications with SQL databases using Hibernate.
- 3 years of SQL relational database design and coding experience.
- 5 years of experience developing software independently and in teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects.
