Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

We’re partnering with an accounting firm seeking a Japanese Bilingual Tax Manager. Must have a CPA or EA license and 5 years of tax related accounting experience.

Location: Remote with preference for candidates who can work in the Eastern Time zone

Type: Full-time Direct Hire

Responsibilities

• Review complex tax returns (corporate, partnership, expatriate, dual status) and oversee correspondence with tax authorities.
• Research and interpret tax regulations, guide staff on technical issues.
• Review transfer pricing reports and tax provisions; prepare advanced analyses when needed.
• Lead client meetings, address inquiries, and identify additional service opportunities.
• Manage multiple engagements, budgets, and deadlines while supervising Staff and Seniors.
• Coach junior team members, provide feedback, and support a collaborative work environment.
• Stay current on tax developments and ensure effective use of technology.

Qualifications

• Japanese and English bilingual level language skill required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA or EA required.
• 5+ years of public accounting tax experience.
• Experience preparing various individual and business tax returns.
• Strong tax software and MS Office skills.
