IT Technician

Salary: $60,000 - 72,800 per year

• At least 3 years of hands-on IT support experience, including regular client-facing or field service work
• At least 1 year of K-12 education or school technology experience
• Strong Windows 11 desktop support skills; macOS experience is a plus
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Exchange Online administration
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, switching, and wireless
• Experience using a ticketing or service management system
• Valid drivers license and reliable personal transportation; regular travel to client sites is required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong organization, follow-through, time management, and ability to work independently in the field
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification preferred
• Windows desktop support experience: 3 years required
• Active Directory management experience: 1 year required
• K-12 school technology experience: 1 year required

• Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients, building trust, communicating clearly, and representing Civic Tech professionally
• Support client onboarding and technology transition projects as needed
• Provide remote technical assistance across client locations, covering endpoint hardware, operating systems, peripherals, and connectivity
• Diagnose and resolve workstation issues in Windows and macOS environments
• Manage imaging, provisioning, and lifecycle refreshes for end-user devices
• Document issues and resolutions thoroughly in the service management platform
• Escalate complex infrastructure issues to the Systems team with accurate, detailed documentation
• Monitor and manage the ticket queue, update clients on issue status, and coordinate the appropriate Civic Tech resources
