Join Our TeamAs the nation's first statewide, "transmission only" company, VELCO manages the safe, reliable, cost-effective transmission of electric power throughout Vermont and as a part of the integrated New England regional network.ResponsibilitiesWorkday Financials AdministrationAdminister, configure, and maintain Workday Financials modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, and ExpensesMonitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requestsMaintain and enhance financial business processes, workflows, and configurationsManage Workday releases, including impact analysis, testing, and deployment of new features and updatesSupport financial reporting requirements by configuring and maintaining reports, dashboards, and data extractsEnsure data integrity, security, and compliance within Workday FinancialsIntegration & Data ManagementSupport and maintain integrations between Workday Financials and third-party or internal systemsCollaborate with IT to troubleshoot integration issues and ensure accurate data flowPerform data loads, validations, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial dataStakeholder Support & CollaborationPartner with Finance teams to understand business needs and translate them into system solutionsProvide end-user support, training, and documentation for financial system processesAct as a subject matter expert for Workday Financials functionality and best practicesContinuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve system efficiency, automation, and user experienceParticipate in system enhancements, upgrades, and strategic initiativesRecommend and implement process improvements aligned with organizational goalsBroader Systems SupportProvide secondary support for other Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking) as neededContribute to cross-functional IT initiatives and enterprise system supportWho You AreEducation & TrainingA Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or an equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and relevant professional experience)ExperienceA minimum of 4 years of system administration experience with 3+ years of experience administering Workday FinancialsKnowledge/SkillsStrong knowledge of financial business processes (GL, AP, AR, Procurement, Expenses)Experience with Workday configuration, business process frameworks, and reporting toolsExperience with business process framework and security configurationProficiency in Workday reporting and calculated fieldsExperience with EIB data loadsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsExperience working with cross-functional teams in Finance, HR and ITFamiliarity with Workday integrations and basic troubleshootingKnowledge of compliance and data privacy standardsPreferred Qualifications:Workday Financials certification(s)Experience supporting additional Workday modules (HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Strategic Sourcing, Adaptive Planning)Experience with Workday integrations (e.g., EIB, Core Connectors, Studio)Familiarity with SOX compliance or financial controlsWork EnvironmentCollaborative, cross-functional team environmentOpen office setting and dog friendlyOpportunity to work closely with engineering, IT, and operationsMission-driven organization supporting critical energy infrastructurePhysical/Mental DemandsProlonged periods of working on a computer. Must be able to maintain fast pace while completing complex, analytical work, in potentially stressful situations, with competing priorities, within tight timelines and with frequent interruptions. Must be able to work additional hours when necessary.

Periodic travel and overnight stays will be required when attending industry workshops, training, and working from the head office etc.Compensation Range:$79,040.00 - $94,848.00 - $110,656.00/salaryThis compensation range represents the minimum, midpoint and maximum pay for this position. Individual offers will be based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, education, skills, competencies, and experience. Please note that most offers for new employees fall under the midpoint of the range, allowing room for continued salary growth.
