IT SpecialistNYS Department of Public Service (DPS) is seeking an IT Specialist Expert to serve Data Modeler and developer in the .Net Developer Team. Implementing specific tasks will include:Analyzing and translating business needs into long-term solution data models.Evaluating existing data systems.Working with the development team to create conceptual data models and data flows.Developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system.Reviewing modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility.Implementing data strategies and developing physical data models.Updating and optimizing local and metadata models.Evaluating implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.Troubleshooting and optimizing data systems.Generate and publish data definition language (DDL) from physical data model to Oracle and SQL Server databases.Design and develop ELT/ETL processes for the migration of data.Develop and execute complex queries and procedures using T-SQL and SQL.Manage and maintain scripts and code in source control repository.Document data models, data migration and data quality requirements and solutions.Provide knowledge transfer to other data management team members.Assistance in development of software/hardware requirements for Development, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Production environment.Required Qualifications:84 months experience developing logical and physical relational data models for OLTP databases.60 months experience using Erwin OR toad Data Modeler to create and maintain logical and physical data models.84 months experience in complex PL\SQL, T-SQL and SQL development against SQL Server.60 months experience identifying and troubleshooting data quality issues.12 months experience developing and managing ELT/ETL processes.36 months of experience in development using Agile/Scrum36 months experience using source control and release technologies such as Git and Azure DevOps.Masters Degree in computer related fieldWork hours and location:Full time role with engagement length of 30 monthsDaily work hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PMPhysical office location: Three Empire State Plaza, 2nd Floor, Albany, NY 12223Telecommuting options: None.
