Typical DevOps team - normal work hours will be from 8 am CST to 5 pm CST. There is a dedicated Ops team to handle the production issues but the expectation is to be available to critical production issues around the clock.The candidate will be working as a Pega developer for a Sales enrollment application built on Pega 8.5.4Currently there are 2 scrum teams (10)3 dev and 2 QATop 5-10 responsibilities for this position:Participate in design and estimation discussions and help lead in task prioritization for team in SprintHelp translate requirements into user-stories and actively participate in project lifecycleWork closely with SA/BA/Architects to ensure requirements are well documented and clearAgile product delivery from design to delivery and production supportTechnically hands-on and able to inculcate best programming and engineering practices by doing Design: Envision the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements; and be able to define technologies, patterns and frameworks to materialize it.Estimate: Create, understand and validate Design and estimated effort for given module/task, and be able to justify itMentor: Coach high performing engineering team to build and deliver health care product to marketOperations: Possess/acquire strong troubleshooting skills and be interested in performing troubleshooting of issues in different desperate technologies and environmentsSupport and mentor team members on day to day tasks.Be accountable for timely quality delivery of assigned modulesProvide appropriate status updates and track project assignments on routine basisActively participate in quality audits, reviews time to timeProvide explanation and information to others on difficult issuesMaintain knowledge of current domains and strategic roadmapsIdentify/quantify scope and impact of business changes on systemsIdeal candidate background:Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.Strong experience in development of Pega projectsExtensive experience in skills-Best Practices, Task Estimation, Unit Testing, Code Reviews, Risk IdentificationRequired skills/attributes:5+ years of overall experience in software development with hands on experience on PEGA PRPC (8.X)4+ years of Java / JavaScript knowledge preferred.2+ years experienced in production support.2+ years experience working in Agile framework/process2+ years experience of enterprise level systems development with strong knowledge of industry standard interface protocols (i.e. SOAP, MQ, HTTP, EJB, etc.)The interview process will be virtual meeting over Teams with 2 rounds, highly focused on Pega skills and could get hands on if need be.
