Senior Software Engineer - HybridGenesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Hybrid for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Pennington, NJ or Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build an enterprise automation platform that identifies, prioritizes, tests, and supports remediation of vulnerabilities across Java middleware environments on RHEL Linux. This role combines deep middleware engineering expertise with modern AI-assisted development and automation to improve the speed, coverage, and quality of vulnerability response.
The engineer will design intelligent workflows that connect vulnerability analysis, remediation guidance, automated testing, execution tracking, and release readiness artifacts.Responsibilities:Build automation to identify vulnerabilities and map them to remediation actionsPrioritize issues using severity, exploitability, and dependency contextDefine and automate the right scope of regression and certification testingRun, track, and improve automated test execution across middleware stacksProduce release notes, certification artifacts, and testing evidenceContinuously improve platform coverage, accuracy, and test effectivenessRequirements:Strong background in software engineering, automation, or platform engineeringHands-on experience with LLMs, generative AI tools, or AI coding assistantsExperience implementing intelligent or agent-based automation workflowsDeep experience with Java middleware platforms such as Apache HTTP Server, Tomcat, JBoss EAP, WebLogic, WebSphere, and Java runtimesStrong understanding of vulnerability identification, prioritization, and remediation processesExperience supporting complex multi-tier enterprise middleware environmentsHands-on experience with RHEL Linux and building or packaging software in enterprise environmentsExperience with automated testing frameworks, ideally including Cucumber/GherkinAbility to design scalable engineering solutions and reference architecturesHands-on expertise with Python, Ansible, or Java (development, integration, troubleshooting)Hybrid schedule requirement of a minimum of 3 days per weekDesired Skills:Background in vulnerability management platforms, security tooling, or scanning ecosystemsFamiliarity with CVEs, vendor advisories, and enterprise remediation workflowsExperience integrating with CI/CD pipelines and release automationKnowledge of cloud or hybrid infrastructure environmentsExperience with infrastructure-as-code or configuration management toolsExposure to enterprise artifact, release, or certification management processesPay range: $78.04 - $86.04 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
