IT Security Specialist I (IT)The Security Engineer is a hands-on role that will assist with the planning and execution of the CLIENT information security capabilities strategy. They will lead the design, implementation, and operations of technical solutions that enable the CLIENT Security team to protect the company from cyber threats. The successful candidate will have a mix of deep technical and system administration experience along with a demonstrated background in information security operations.Responsibilities include:Design, implement and maintain core security tools and capabilities supporting the cyber intelligence, detection and response domainsIdentify and drive process automation and improvements across the teamProvide front-line operational support of toolsCommunicate effectively with multiple audiences spanning the CLIENT infrastructure and security teamsDesign, build, test, implement, maintain, and optimize the network, telecommunications, desktop, and mobility systems infrastructure and operationsMonitor and optimize the performance of operating systems and applicationsDiagnose system failures and take corrective actionUse strong client service orientation to ensure all requests and problems are resolvedWork on one or more initiatives or workgroups to develop/build low to moderately complex systemsWork with team members to understand business needsAnalyze and translate business requirements into system specificationsDevelop and document systems to meet business requirementsDevelop/build, and test technology solutions to meet business requirementsInstall, configure, and test technology and infrastructure systemsMaintain existing security capabilities, making recommendations and implementing appropriate up to date security technologiesCreate test files and performs system testsAssist in the deployment of new, modified or enhanced system components or servicesEnsure performance meets the present and future needs of the businessRecommend changes/enhancements for improved systems availability, reliability, and performanceAnalyze metrics to understand performance and identifies opportunities for continuous improvementsPerform Level 3 issue assessment and resolution on systemsDocument new or modified functions, modules, and test activities/resultsEnsure all documentation is delivered according to specified guidelines and on selected mediaProvide coaching and mentoring to less experienced team membersOther duties as assigned.Top 3 Required Skills/Experience – The most important must-have skills.
