Focus is placed on ensuring the smooth flow of changes through various pre-production environments, culminating in a successful deployment to production.Role / ResponsibilitiesManage and coordinate all aspects of brightspeed IT release cycles, ensuring smooth deployments and integrations.Oversee the end-to-end release process, including planning, scheduling, coordinating, and deploying software releases while minimizing disruptions to production environments.Manage interdependencies to ensure the integrity of the delivery and release.Ensure deployments are promoted and test activities occur within development environments in accordance with the Release Schedule and established frameworkCreate release guidelines to distribute across the companyWork with Engineering/Architects to assess release milestones and adapt/grow them as requiredWork with Engineering & Project Management (PM) to define deployment plan interdependenciesWork with PMO, engineering, and QA to define upcoming environment requirements and specificationsDefine and enforce entry criteria for ProductionCreates full visibility into release readiness, Go/No-Go, and milestone reviewsCollaborate with delivery/release managers from different business unitsEstablish and maintain documents related to procedures on build and releaseDevelop and maintain a release management plan and calendar that aligns with business goals.Monitor, measure, and manage the deployment process, including sandbox management, QA, DEV, and production releases.Identify and mitigate risks associated with brightspeed IT releases.Provide status updates and communicate release plans to stakeholders.Troubleshoot and resolve issues and conflicts that arise during release and deployment processes.ImpactThe role is critical to support organizational growth and continue to deliver world class reliable support and operational stability to our customers.Bridges the gap between various stakeholders to ensure that every release aligns with business objectives and is executed seamlessly.Ensures that new functionality is released safely and effectively. Quality is higher when testing and release processes are structured, repeatable and enforced.You Will Thrive In This Role If You Have:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.8+ years of experience in release management, preferably in a software development or IT operations environment.Demonstrated leadership skillsProven experience in liaising with offshore teams and managing distributed release processes.Strong understanding of release management best practices, tools, and methodologies.Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOpsExperience applying project management knowledge and techniques to achieve objectivesUnderstanding version control systems, continuous integration, and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and automation toolsExperience with cloud environmentsGood understanding of application infrastructure and system architecture best practices and principles.Agile Coaching or training experienceExperience using data to inform and set priorities and identify challenges/opportunities.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and work effectively under pressure.Experience in developing documentation, run books, user guides, and training materials.Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement changes to enhance overall efficiency and productivity.A Plus If You Have:Experience managing work with Jira products in the context of software development and reporting across multiple teamsIT Telecommunications experience
