Enterprise Program ManagerResponsible for overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of a large enterprise program that utilizes information technology solutions, principles, standards, and best practices. Must be a proven problem solver that is an active listener, excellent communicator with exceptional program and project management capabilities. Must have experience working in a Scaled Agile setup (SAFe). Drives and coaches team to deliver using SAFe framework and best practices. Work with the VP, IT Program Management to further enhance and improve the adoption of Agile and SAFe. Throughout the delivery lifecycle, obtains feedback to ensure that project and program efforts meet customer expectations within the constraints of time, cost, scope, and quality.Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:Manage a large scale transformative program for the implementation of Applied’s Epic Agency Management System with multiple complex integrations and/or data migrations – all within established PMO standards & processes & SAFe practicesAbility to scale planning for strategic program roadmaps, establishing budget plans, driving for PI objectives and business value, keep feature backlog prioritized and aligned with strategy, coordinate planning efforts with other RTE’sUsing the SAFe model, ability to plan & drive Release Trains, prepare and lead quarterly PI planning sessions (including planning, scope & context, ensure stakeholder readiness, manage event logistics), support PI execution, conduct PI retrospectivesDuring PI execution, will drive various synchronization events, promote DevOps and continuous delivery, work with Scrum Master to setup/track/report on the velocity of multiple Scrum Teams, help remove roadblocks for Scrum Teams, work with other Program Leads to manage cross-Train/cross-functional/cross-track dependencies, risks and issues.Expected to be hands-on on the program, coaching other Project Managers/Scrum Masters to establish SAFe Agile practices, work with peers and cross-functional partners collaboratively and will need to demonstrate a “roll-up your sleeve and get it done” attitudeExpected to adhere to AP IT PMO Standards and framework for Governance and general Program & Project Management Best PracticesDrive for transparency, accountability for self and others & for quality in delivery & deliverablesExtensive experience collaborating with IT Functional groups and business operations on projects and programsAbility to understand the organization quickly and be demonstrate ability to navigate itAlign program, projects and operations to AP’s strategic objectivesMeasure, rank and drive for prioritization of critical projects within programDrive efficiencies related to project execution, share best practices with the IT PMOEstablish and manage program & aligned project scope, timeline, track budget/spend/VariancesProvide clarity around program scope, goal and expected benefitsCapture and drive Change Control on the program that can include new requirements, features, functions, operational constraints, regulatory demands and technical enhancementsFacilitate estimation and management of the financial resources of a project or programIdentify & manage risks, develop mitigation & contingencies to respond to the risk. Understand how to navigate the program to getting back on track when issues are on hand. Escalate to leadership as neededProduce Regular Program Reporting - Track and work with workstream leads to report project/program statuses on a timely basis to IT leadership, stakeholders and sponsorsAssess and forecast resource needs and ongoing resource allocation on project, performs impact analysis on staffing where scope may have changed – as well as effective use of metrics, and reporting.Collaborate with Procurement (as needed) to assess vendors, SOWs, RFPs, RFQs and other project related contractsEstablish Program Communication Plan - Understands the various audience groups and communicate accordingly.Other duties as assigned. Some travel will be required, as needed.Required Qualifications:Proven experience managing large scale, multi-year HRIS transformative program and projects in Insurance and/or Banking software applications.
Experience in implementing Applied’s Epic AMS is strongly preferredMinimum of 15+ years of professional experience managing application development programsMinimum of 3-5 years of working in a SAFe setupExceptional oral & written communication skills, customer service & design thinking mindset, and collaborative skillsIn-depth understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, SAFe Implementation practices & PMI methodology for project management
