IT Operations & Portfolio SpecialistThe IT Operations & Portfolio Specialist supports the CIO organization by coordinating IT operational, financial, procurement, and portfolio management activities across the enterprise IT function. This role ensures accurate tracking of IT spend and value realization, supports demand intake and prioritization, and drives alignment between IT funding, procurement activities, and enterprise priorities.This position serves as a central coordination point across IT, Finance, and Procurement, enabling transparency, governance, and operational discipline across IT initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport annual IT budgeting and forecasting processes (OpEx and CapEx)Track actuals vs. budget and produce variance analysis and reportingMaintain financial visibility across IT spend and value realization (applications, infrastructure, security, data)Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close activities with FinanceTrack accruals, commitments, and financial obligationsValidate invoices in coordination with Accounts PayableEnsure financial accuracy, compliance, and governance controlsCoordinate purchase requisitions (PRs), purchase orders (POs), and change requestsPartner with Procurement and Finance on contract tracking, renewals, and vendor onboardingEnsure alignment across contracts, POs, and invoicesTrack vendor spend, commitments, and purchasing activityAdminister IT Procurement Card (PCard) programMonitor and reconcile transactionsEnsure compliance with procurement policies and controlsSupport expense coding, documentation, and approvalsCoordinate monthly reconciliation and audits with FinanceSupport audit readiness for procurement and financial processesFacilitate IT demand intake across all domains (Applications, Infrastructure, Security, Data)Maintain portfolio tracking, demand pipeline, and initiative inventorySupport prioritization and governance discussions with IT leadershipDevelop and maintain portfolio dashboards for CIO visibilityEnsure transparency across demand, funding alignment, and execution statusCoordinate CIO office activities (town halls, leadership meetings, key events)Support development of executive presentations and reporting packagesAssist with travel, expense coordination, and administrative support for the CIOAct as liaison between CIO office, IT teams, Finance, Procurement, and corporate functionsDevelop and maintain dashboards (financials, portfolio health, demand pipeline)Track KPIs across IT spend, portfolio performance, and demand flowIdentify process gaps and support continuous improvement initiativesEnsure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of reportingQualificationsRequired4–7 years of experience in IT operations, IT business operations, PMO, or financial coordinationExperience supporting IT budgeting and financial tracking (OpEx/CapEx)Strong Excel and reporting skills (pivot tables, dashboards, financial models)Experience working cross-functionally with IT, Finance, and ProcurementFamiliarity with procurement processes (POs, invoicing, expense reconciliation)Strong organizational and stakeholder management skillsCore CompetenciesFinancial accuracy and attention to detailStrong operational discipline and executionCross-functional coordination and communicationAnalytical thinking and reporting capabilityOwnership mindset and accountabilityAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentPreferred SkillsExperience managing Procurement Card (PCard) programsExposure to IT portfolio management and demand intake processesFamiliarity with tools such as ServiceNow, Coupa, or AribaExperience supporting CIO or IT leadership operationsGeneral understanding of enterprise IT domains (applications, infrastructure, security, and data)Ability to leverage AI tools to improve productivity and operational efficiencyIn addition to salary, this role is eligible for benefits.
