This role owns day-to-day IT operations across that environment and is hands-on. It works with security and GRC, manufacturing, engineering, and outside IT service providers.

Position Overview

Powerus is seeking an IT Manager to run IT operations across corporate and manufacturing environments, including endpoints, servers, networks, Google Workspace, and operational technology (OT), and to implement the technical controls behind the company's CMMC Level 2 and NIST SP 800-171 program.

Key Responsibilities

• Run IT operations for offices, engineering, and manufacturing, including help desk, onboarding and offboarding, and user support
• Own endpoint management for company-owned, MDM-managed laptops, including enrollment, configuration baselines, encryption, patching, and compliance reporting
• Administer Google Workspace, including identity and access, MFA, groups, sharing and data-protection settings, security policies, and audit logging
• Manage managed service provider and IT vendor relationships, including scope, SLAs, performance reviews, and ticket and project tracking
• Support OT and shop-floor systems, including PLCs, HMIs, test and measurement equipment, and industrial PCs, with manufacturing and engineering
• Design and maintain IT/OT network segmentation; manage firewalls, switching, wireless, VPN and remote access, and network monitoring
• Maintain Windows and Linux servers and virtualization platforms, including patching, hardening, backup and restore testing, capacity, and uptime
• Maintain hardware, software, and license asset inventory across IT and OT
• Implement and document CMMC Level 2 and NIST SP 800-171 technical controls, including access control, configuration management, audit logging, media protection, and vulnerability management, and provide evidence to the GRC team
• Support incident response, vulnerability remediation, and business continuity and disaster recovery planning
• Manage IT purchasing and contribute to IT budget and roadmap planning

Qualifications

• Must be located in the United States, within commuting distance of Rock Hill, SC
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• Five or more years of IT operations experience, including two or more years in a lead or manager role
• Experience supporting a manufacturing or industrial environment, including OT and shop-floor systems
• Hands-on administration of Windows and Linux servers, virtualization, and backup and recovery
• Experience with endpoint management and MDM platforms for Windows or macOS fleets
• Google Workspace administration experience
• Working knowledge of VLANs, firewalls, routing, wireless, VPN, and IT/OT segmentation
• Experience managing an outsourced MSP or other IT service vendors
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, or NIST CSF
• Availability for occasional after-hours and weekend work for maintenance windows and incidents, and occasional travel to company sites and vendors
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
• U.S. citizenship required; this role involves access to ITAR- and EAR-controlled technical data

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a defense, aerospace, or government-contracting environment, including handling of CUI
• Direct experience supporting a CMMC or NIST SP 800-171 assessment
• Familiarity with ISA/IEC 62443 or other OT security practices
• CompTIA Network+ or Security+, CCNA, Google Workspace, Microsoft, or GICSP certification
• Scripting and automation in PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance

What We Look For

Candidates should have run IT for a manufacturing site with OT on the network and be able to describe how they segmented and secured it.
