IT Healthcare Consultant – Software Engineer – ConsultantThis role supports a large-scale Eligibility and Enrollment Member Management Project. The team includes state personnel, IT professionals, and consultants. The environment is fast-paced and collaborative, ideal for individuals who are self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to contribute to meaningful public sector initiatives.Daily Duties & Responsibilities:Serve as the on-site technical resource for the project.Design and document detailed technical specifications.Develop and unit test software components and APIs using Java, Python, NodeJS, ReactJS, and AWS.Conduct data mapping and gap analysis.Utilize IBM Cúram framework to build new functionalities and resolve defects.Collaborate with business analysts, technical leads, and vendors to ensure alignment with project goals.Provide technical guidance and communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Participate in quality assurance processes and ensure deliverables meet standards.Report project status and risks to leadership.Translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Skills:Education - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Science, or equivalent industry experienceExperience - Minimum 4 years with IBM Cúram framework, including HCR and CGISExperience - 2 years with PythonORNodeJS, ReactJS/Angular, and JSONExperience - 2 years with AWSExperience - 3 years implementing Proof of Concepts and writing SQL queriesCertification - Cúram CertificationOther Skills - Experience with Cúram OOTB modules (Workflow, Tasks, CER rules, Evidence framework, IEG, Web-services)Other Skills - Experience profiling and troubleshooting IBM Cúram codeOther Skills - Experience delivering in waterfall, scrum, agile, and other methodologiesSoft Skills - Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skillsPreferred Skills:Experience - Knowledge of Medicaid principles and processesExperience - Experience with Django or similar Python web frameworks
