Position Overview
The Director of Information Technology is responsible for leading the organization’s technology strategy, operations, systems, and infrastructure. This role partners with senior leadership to ensure technology supports business objectives, improves operational efficiency, and enables continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute technology strategies aligned with business goals.
Lead day-to-day IT operations, systems, applications, infrastructure, and support functions.
Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities for process and technology improvements.
Oversee technology projects, system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
Manage IT budgets, resources, and technology investments.
Lead and develop internal IT staff and external technology partners.
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service performance.
Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements that increase efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
Support organizational change and adoption of new technologies and processes.
Ensure technology solutions provide measurable value to the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
10+ years of progressive information technology experience, including leadership responsibilities.
Experience leading enterprise technology initiatives and system implementations.
Experience managing IT operations, projects, budgets, vendors, and teams.
Strong strategic planning and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to translate business needs into effective technology solutions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Experience within logistics, transportation, distribution, or a related operational environment is preferred.
