NextGen EMR Senior DeveloperLooking for a candidate who has NextGen development experience (development experience in templates, interfaces, and documents would be ideal) and can write queries and scripts in SQL. Person needs to be a team player, willing to switch gears easily and quickly, and have the desire to create excellence.
Responsibilities include the design, development, and support of NextGen based EHR templates and related SQL code. Responsible for programming on specific application subsets of the company's application portfolio, participating in all phases of the development and maintenance life cycle, typically for an assigned business unit, client program, or corporate department and utilizing various customer technology platforms.Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:Develop NextGen EHR templates and documents based on specificationsPerform complex analysis and troubleshooting in support of various EHR technical processes and SQL codingSupport the EMR implementation process, including build, testing, training, and go live of the EHR systemImplement interfaces between EHR system and external systems such as Lab information system, PACs, Pharmacy, etc.Identifying solutions to non-standard requests and problemsAssists management in establishing reporting requirements and develop reports from the NextGen databaseWorks with CareMore clinical staff to evaluate current processes and implement technology solutions to reduce costs and improve staff efficiency and patient careSQL Code updates, stored procedures, and performs technical design reviews and code reviewsEnsures unit test is completed and meets the test plan requirements, system testing is completed and system is implemented according to planOwns the change request process and may coordinate with other teams as necessarySupport production release after hours as neededAssess current status and supports data information planningApplication support services for NextGen EMRMaintains technical development environmentMonitor data integrity in the EMR reconcile incoming data with lab orders sent through Rosetta Interface research and correct errors, open ticketsCoordinates on-call support and ensures effective monitoring of systemMentors others and may lead multiple or small to medium sized projectsWorking knowledge of SAFe Agile framework is a plusQualifications:Minimum of seven years of experience supporting technology systemsMinimum of five years of experience working in healthcare or another related fieldMinimum 3 years of NextGen EMR / EPM Ambulatory experience, specific experience with a Practice Management System and Electronic Medical Record (HER) Template Editor and Document BuilderIncumbent should also have the ability to mentor others, lead multiple small projects and provide troubleshooting supportMulti-dimensional required. Multi database and/or multi language preferredSAFe Agile experience is preferred
