DCS IT Business Analyst 3Location: Atlanta, GA 30303Duration: Long TermClient: State of GAInterview mode: In Person OnlyActs as the bridge between business and IT to design and implement system solutions. Analyzes complex needs, documents requirements, supports project rollouts, and provides advanced training/support to help users maximize functional business tools.IN PERSON ONLY INTERVIEW - MUST BE A GEORGIA RESIDENT - NO OUT OF STATE APPLICANTSCore ResponsibilitiesRequirement Elicitation & Analysis: Lead workshops, interviews, and focus groups with cross-functional stakeholders to extract, analyze, and prioritize complex business requirements.Documentation & Design: Translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, use cases, workflow diagrams, and data models. Participate heavily in system design sessions to ensure technical solutions align with business goals.Project Planning & Implementation: Partner with Project Managers and Technical Leads to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

Coordinate and participate in the deployment, data migration, and rollout of new or enhanced applications.Testing & Quality Assurance: Define User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategies, write comprehensive test scenarios, and coordinate with business users to ensure deliverables meet validation criteria and quality standards.User Support & Enablement: Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for core functional business tools. Develop training materials, conduct user training sessions, and provide advanced Tier-2/Tier-3 support to resolve complex functional system issues.Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate existing business processes and system workflows to identify bottlenecks, proposing innovative, automated, or optimized solutions.Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAdvanced Analytical Thinking: Proven ability to synthesize complex, ambiguous data from multiple sources into clear, structured requirements.Technical Literacy: Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) models (Agile/Scrum, Waterfall) and familiarity with data tools (e.g., SQL queries, data mapping tools, or reporting dashboards).Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with a track record of successfully managing expectations across diverse user groups and leadership levels.Tools: Proficiency with business analysis and project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Miro, Clickup, Figma, or equivalent).QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems) from an accredited college or university AND three (3) years of directly related experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or IT project environments.Preferred Qualifications (Optional Additions):Professional certification such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI-PBA.Experience leading Agile scrum teams or acting as a proxy Product Owner.Required5 YearsSDLC Methodologies: Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall frameworks.Required5 YearsData & Technical Literacy: Basic SQL queries, data mapping, and system integration analysis.Required5 YearsStakeholder Management: Facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution, and cross-functional collaboration.Required5 YearsUser Enablement: Technical writing, end-user training, and Tier-2/3 application support.Required5 YearsUI/UX & Prototyping: Figma (wireframing/mockups), user interface design principles, and user journey mapping.Required5 YearsAI & Productivity Tools: AI-assisted documentation, prompt engineering for requirement generation, and automated note-taking tools.Required5 YearsTesting & QA: User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination, test script design, and defect trackingNice to haveThanks & Regards.An E-Verify Company
