Data/Information Architect - Project LeadThe State of South Carolina Department of Admin is looking for a Data/Information Architect - Project Lead. The position will close to submissions on 10/23/2025 5:00PM EST. The interview process consists of one round of virtual interviews.
The contract duration is 12 months with a possibility for extension. Work location is Columbia, SC, with a 25% hybrid schedule to be determined by the manager. Only current SC residents are allowed, no relocation.Key duties and responsibilities:Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the services offered and processes necessary to implement those services in a consistent and secure manner.Work with project managers and management to prepare and deliver documentation packages required as part of state, federal, and/or industry-required audits and assessments.Produce high quality documentation and flow charting to document processes and workflows.
Design and maintain documentation library. Provides technical writing and process documentation for itsm, governance and technical teams.Provides standardized process documents in support of itsm and technical teams.Produces customer ready documentation (to be approved by admin strategic communication in support of statewide initiatives including but not limited to Microsoft Co-Pilot, Chat GTP policies and processes). Conducts process training sessions in collaboration with itsm and governance teams.Participates in meetings with auditors and assessors and provides professional expertise in discussing information security controls and operational procedures as part of state, federal, and/or industry-required audits and assessments.Assist with agency SCDIS-200 assessments and compliance: Assists operational and governance teams by providing guidance and professional assistance during interview sessions.
Develops, maintains, and updates as necessary all documentation related to processes and procedures, aligning them to standardized practices for compliance and operations as laid out in SCDIS-200 v.2.Required skills:3+ years of extensive knowledge of IRS Pub 10753+ years of NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, ITIL or CJIS5+ years of the ability to work with server and end-point technicians to develop detailed proceduresPreferred skills:Experience with SCDIS-200 assessments and complianceExperience conducting process training sessionsExperience participating in meetings with Auditors and AssessorsEducation requirement:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of work
