ISD Technical Engineering ConsultantProSidian Seeks a ISD Technical Engineering Consultant - GSSC (Full-Time) to support an engagement for the US Dept. of Energy (DOE) Hanford. Preferred candidates present with relevant Government, Public Sector and Infrastructure (Nuclear and Environmental) Sector experience (functional area experience also ideal) - SCA Code: N/A.
This position is located in the CONUS - Northwest Region.The ISD Technical Engineering Consultant shall provide support in the following areas:Assist with Assessment of Hanford prime contractor's technological approach associated with infrastructure projects.Assist with the review and evaluation of design and construction reports and documents for electrical transmission and distribution systems.Assist in managing agreements and interfaces with the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).Assist with the coordination of interfaces with the Hanford contractor and BPA.Assist with the review and evaluation of design and construction by BPA.Review and provide written summary evaluations of BPA design & construction.Work with Hanford contractor to understand designs, construction documents, and statement of work documents.Review project design and construction contract scopes of work.Assist with the review, analysis, and evaluation of contractor procurement process for design and construction.Assist with oversight of system and component testing (developmental, acceptance, qualification, etc.), commissioning, and operational readiness preparations.Assist with reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating baseline schedules and costs associated with the project work scopes.Provide routine reports to document oversight of field activities.Assist with reviewing and evaluating risk associated with the project work scopes.Complete required training (e.g., HGET, etc.) to access the work areasProvide status reports of contractor performance to Infrastructure and Services Division.Assist with the evaluation of current schedule data and analysis of the Critical Path schedules.The ISD Technical Engineering Consultant - GSSC shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.The REL ISD Technical Engineering Consultant personnel shall possess the following minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering10 years of relevant experience in the Electrical Utility IndustryExperience with design and construction of electrical transmission and distribution systemsExcellent written and oral communication skillsSkilled in problem identification and resolutionKnowledge in estimating and scheduling practices tools such as P6Some knowledge of the Hanford site, preferredIdentification of any conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with any Hanford Site contractors.Fully vaccinated against COVID, a granted exception to vaccination for COVID, or able to meet entry and testing requirements for entrance and work in federal buildings.U.S. Citizenship.Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or other training requirements. Travel is coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.
