Welds and cuts steel, and interprets blueprints, The Welder is responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding and welds finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction. They are responsible for knowing and following appropriate safety procedures in order to make safety checks and conduct safety meetings, and for coordinating with operating personnel regarding permits and clearances to initiate maintenance and repair activities.NOTE: The examples of work for this position are for illustrative purposes only.
